EAPO’s experienced Regional Consultants deliver customized training sessions in communities across the province, whether in Retirement Homes, Long-term Care Homes, community settings or to agencies/organizations that work or interact with seniors.
Receiving the proper training is critical in successfully detecting, intervening and preventing elder abuse cases. We encourage all those working with older adults to receive training on elder abuse and neglect, to build greater awareness in the community. Our staff will work with you, to customize sessions to meet your needs and around your scheduling requirements, to better equip staff, volunteers with the knowledge and tools necessary to recognize, respond to, prevent and report incidents of elder abuse as well as provide information on regional, provincial/national programs and services that assist older adults at-risk or experiencing abuse.
EAPO Regional Consultants work with agencies to improve service coordination through strengthening and engaging community partnerships, to enhance prevention activities and/or resolve complex elder abuse cases.

EAPO will work with you to design a training session(s) to meet your organization’s needs. Please complete the enclosed on-line Training Request Form to book a training session. Advance bookings are required, ideally with a minimum of 1-2 weeks notice before the intended date of the training.
